Oral Medicine Explained

Oral Medicine is a registered dental speciality with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. It is the specialist branch of dentistry which involves the diagnosis, prevention and predominantly non-surgical management of medically related disorders and conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.

Managing oral lesions, facial pain (including temporomandibular dysfunction) as well as the management of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring are the key elements of the specialty.

Utilising a variety of appliances, medications, techniques, injections as well as minor surgical procedures our specialists can tailor a treatment plan to meet your individual needs.
