Dr Anam Khan

Dr. Anam Khan brings over a decade of experience in dental sleep medicine, with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and academic leadership. She holds degrees in Psychology, Sleep Science, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine, all from the University of Western Australia. Her early career was grounded in hospital-based work as a respiratory sleep scientist, where she developed a deep understanding of sleep-disordered breathing. This foundation has led to her ongoing passion and expertise in dental sleep medicine, where she has helped countless patients across both public and private healthcare settings.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Khan has played a key role in advancing the field through education and leadership. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Dental Sleep Medicine Society within the Australasian Sleep Association, contributing to national training programs for healthcare professionals. She continues to be active in teaching, holding a senior lecturer position at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia and supervising postgraduate students at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Her academic work includes writing several book chapters on dental sleep medicine, with both published and in-progress contributions to the field.

Dr. Khan is a Fellow of Dental Sleep Medicine with the Australasian Sleep Association and maintains active memberships with the Australian Dental Association (WA) and the Australasian Sleep Association. She is also a registered practitioner with AHPRA.
