Multiple injectable modalities are available At the Centre including:
Cortisone injections may be an option to help reduce inflammation, swelling and pain in and around the temporomandibular joint. These injections can also be used for some oral lesions.
Prolotherapy, the injection of a sclerosing agent into a joint, can be used to help a locked, clicking or cracking jaw.
Trigger point injections utilising long-lasting local anaesthetic can be used to help reduce various forms of facial pain in particular muscular or myogenous pain.
Botox injections can be useful in the management of many ailments including jaw pain, grinding (bruxism), muscle pain and excess salivation.
